The Genesis report is just another FAI shambles - what would Phil Collins etc know about football in Ireland anyway.

Milo Corcoran, the Heineken rep and President of the FAI, has said "that it would take at east 5 years to implement the Genesis Report". He madethis statement in Greece, probably hoping no one would take too much notice.
A week after it's published and already, slowly but surely, it is being longfingered and will be eventually ignored.
These little men will NEVER give up their patch and NOTHING will be done.........
Why did you think things would change - because John Delaney said so?? I think that there will be some change in order to pacify the supporters but do we really believe these guys are going to give up their VIP treatment all over the World - free holidays, big ****-ups, new suits etc etc. Are we kidding ourselves?Quote:

I wouldn't try to suggest understand anything abiout the way the FAI structured but it does appear the decision making bodies are too large.
Seems like every section of the association has to be represented is the decision making process by their delegate. I'm sure also that people who have put many years in as administrators of the various sections of the game in Ireland see election to a senior position as reward for all the years put in.
Maybe if the FAI could be structured in such a way as to repay these peoples work in some other manner they'd be quicker to give up the power?
I don't know if they print it in internationla match programmes but on elook at any FAI cup final programme & you'll see the staggering list of Honorary positions & all sorts of other chairmen for this 'n that...
All the more reason to implement it. The sooner implementation starts, the sooner it's finished..........and the sooner we can all leave this lamentably shambolic chapter in Irish soccer behind us.Quote:

Murphy Out Now!!!
For gawd sake, it will NOT take 5 years to implement the report. This could and should be done within 6 months. Saying it will take 5 years is the same as saying it will not be done. The point is that wasters like Corcoran and the list of people that pete mentioned, will not DO anything to jepordise their own little world.Quote:

The first step needs to be the creation of a paid professional executive to run the show. That will require resignations from the current executive. I don't see any queue forming of those ready to step off the gravy train.
The best way to implement a positive change in Irish football would be to send a firing squad into merrion square
Nothing will ever change while the junket boys are around
Well it would be if they were ever there but as we all know, more often than not, they're off enjoying some nation's hospitality.Quote:
