Winning trophies or qualifying for competitions is what it's all about, not that other crap (btw I know you can qualify for Europe through FAIR play, but is a very long shot)!

Actually, it's not minnowism at all. We know we're a small club, but because we're well administered, we consistently punch above our level. It's partly because we're well administered and, for example, Bohs are a shambles (or recovering from a shambles) that we finished ahead of you in the league.

If it were all about winning trophies, half the teams in the league would have given up by now. It's about coming as high up as you can with the resources available to you, and in that regard, we're bloody successful. If we get a following of the level of Cork or Derry, we'd be the best club in the league.

CTID may have been excessively proud of our achievements, but that doesn't qualify them as minnowism.

We have never missed a player payment, a player might have went to the PFAI about an issue he had but it certianly wasn't for non payment of wages

Yeah, I think CTID was misquoting there. It's been said that we're the only club the PFAI haven't had to deal with at all, but I'm sure that more than a few other clubs have only had a few minor scrapes.

A few years I put players from my club towards scholarships (never got one ) from what I remember since the free fees came in the scholarships took care of things like

Accommodation
Living Expenses
Payment for Books
Free Physiotherapy treatment if injured
Free Membership of the Fitness Centre
Free equipment

I think it is pretty dependent on the circumstances of the player involved

but I would not be able to stand up in court on this :o
