Lets put a bit of Irish into it.....
MacSabbath :D
How bout an Irish Muse tribute band called...
... Nights On Cidona!
Boom b.. OK I'm going!
Oasis - The Mad Ferrets .
My favourite band is Echo & The Bunnymen. Funnily enough but actually true I've been thinking of a name for a tribute for them since quite a while, as the theme was brought up on the Bunnymen.com forum. Easy ones would be "Happy Dead Men", "The Yo-Yo Men" or "the Tourquouise Days" but those are so evident they almost lack originality.
These Charming Men are superb, been to two shows of them already and each time it's fun fun fun!
Just resurecting this thread because ...Well some of us are talkers ...and some of us are do-ers.
Half Arsed Half Biscuit start gigging next month.
I'll not do any more flagrant plugging than that.
Now if you'll excuse me ...I've got a Birkenhead accent I need to work on.:D
Funny you shuould mention that. There actaully ARE an Arctic Monkeys tribute band called Antarctic Monkeys. AFAIK, they're playing in Break for the Border tonight at the DIT student's night.
A few of mine:
Zapp - Bang
Prince - Sexy M. F.
Parliament - The Mothership Connection
Funkadelic - Psychadelic Soul
best existing cover band NOASIS
The Hassled Hoffs.

Brilliant. I'll look forward to your world tour.
Unfortunately my 'Mediocre Alex Harvey Band' project never got off the ground.
How about a novelty punk band of midgets where all the band members have red hair - "Stiff Little Gingers" ?
Or a novelty punk band comprising of dogs - "The Rex Pistols"?
Or a gay grunge band - "Queervana"?
Our world tour can visit Waterford if you've any pull or contacts in the venues down there.
There IS/WAS in existence an all-gay but serious metal band called Pansy Division.Quote:
