More seriously, I'll add my voice to those happy to refer to the League of Ireland. I'd take the I-League though. :)

I-League is kinda cool, and appropriate given the traditionally short sighted inability of clubs to cooperate or look at the big picture.
The I-League with TV and radio adverts along the lines of "The I-League, everyone's watching".

The <sponsor> League of Ireland? can't think of anything better, but I'd prefer something simple.
I-League sounds ridiculous I think ...

I see nothing wrong with "The Eircom Premiership" or "Eircom Premier League", or even "Eircom Premier League Of Ireland".
The I-League sounds daft to me, I'm getting tired of it already. And I think we should save "Super League" and the likes for the day when the two Irish leagues see sense and amalgamate....

The I League is a copycat of the A League in Oz or the J League in Japland.
I love it though. Put me down for one I League please.
I too like I-League, though I can see potential confusion between the I-League and the Irish league.
Maybe we could be the I-I-yippy League? :D
Like I-League now, though how I'd feel hearing it everyday might be different. National League is fine too, though. But please, please, no 'elite' or 'super.'
EDIT: Something sensible and short(ish) in Irish is my favourite idea, if such a word could be found... (Don't know any Irish myself)
