The programs from our time in santry say 100 seats and you could see that from looking at the stand so unless they have done it up since,which i don't think they have,i don't know where you are getting 799.

Where are there any other grounds or facilities that would come close to meeting regulations?BTW i don't want the bohs deal to collapse because i think they will become successful,i just would like to see bohs and shels groundsharing in dalyer!I can only see bankruptcy for shels if they move to santry!

Every single possibilty Shels have bar building from scratch

* Dalymount - not going to happen.
* Richmond - unlikely. Would be second fiddle to Pats
*Tallaght - possibility. Would be second fiddle to Rovers
*RDS - unlikely due to cost. Would be second fiddle to Leinster GAA (and horsies too)
*Whitehall. Needs a huge amount of work (for that re money).
*Bladonnell. No chance at all really
*Santry. 800 seats, miles out of town. Needs lots of work but council willing to do something at least.

There's nothing else at all, so unless something is going to be built very very quickly, Shels have no real options

Fair point,i suggested richmond meself but tallaght isn't really an option because we're strugling to get in ourselves and shels can't wait around for our court case to end.They are up sh*t creek without a paddle basically!

Eh no, they don't, they say 800. If you had actually been to santry you would know that there is about 10 rows of seats 100 seats across, minus the bit where the 6 overlooking offices are => 800.

There would have to be another 400 seats added to bring it up to standard. New floodlights also needed. Can see Fingal co Co paying for redevelopment. How long a lease will Shels be looking for?

I'd say 800 is about right. Whats the club license minimum? 1500?

the thing is though, the terracing on the far side of the ground is in place - so it might not be too big a deal to put in seating there, which could easily bring the capacity of the ground up. There's also Ballymun just up the road as a potential catchment area if Shels were to target it properly - plus the area around Beaumount and Coolock over to the Malahide Road - it's not as isolated as people make out.
