Think he would count it, he just forgot...
With repspect to Bohs wins in Kaiserlautern (meaningless in the end) and Aberdeen, this is probably the best result for an Irish club away in Europe. Certainly in a long long time

Very true - must have forgotten that already! :p Aberdeen were going through a rough patch at the time though, Gothenburg were runners-up in their league last season and will consider themselves well in contention for this year's league.Quote:

So who would we get then???
uefa.com doesn't have anything that I can see (Derry are pictured on the front page though!). Maybe the draw isn't done 'til after this round?Quote:

When we got through first round last year the draw was the following day. Fantastic results for both Derry and Drogheda, well done.Quote:

Great result. Ye are doing the EL proud.....god i love whe the cocky swedes are beaten
Only back from Sweden a few hours now, and the result still hasn't sunk in.
3 words summarise Gothenborg : outsung, outplayed, outscored. I don't think their players or their fans know what hit them.
300 Derry fans made more noise than the 3,000 home crowd. The sound was just amazing.
I just hope to God we can seal the deal in 2 weeks time.
Well done Drogs - shame they got a late goal, but sounds like you should be able to do it at home.
Would be great if this was the year the EL got its first clean sweep of First Round games. Here's hopin'.....
I always support Irish teams in Europe and have spent the last few years congratulating Shelbourne and Cork (and rightly so) on their European results; it feels so great to have other people praising us for once.

Just look to our game against Halmstad last season as an example of this.
That's true but if anyone will ingrain this into the players over the next few days, it's Stephen Kenny. There's no way he'll let the players get complacent whatsoever- he'll have them drilled and ready to go in two weeks in the right frame of mind. Meanwhile, us supporters can enjoy the result for the next few days anyway before, like they team, we turn to the second leg.Quote:

No professional footage but apparently some of the lads have it on the camcorder, so should have it in a few daysQuote:
