I only saw bits of it in the pub but looked like england outplayed by spain. Shows the huge gulf in league standards. Spain have had a variety of teams in the CL & getting to the final of the Uefa Cup whereas no team outside top 4 in the EPL has done anything in 10 seasons of european football - Middlesboros final appearance & Leeds lunacy excepted.Quote:

Wouldnt agree with you there. True Sevilla definitely deserved to win but i feel 4-0 flattered them somewhat . Also you arent really comparing like with like there Middlesborough are the 12th best team in the Premiership and Sevilla are the 5th best team in La Liga.Quote:

I don't think La Liga is considered the best league in europe just based on last night. Its probably a tight fight for 2nd place between England & Italy who both have similar structures (i.e. top 4 is the same almost every year).
