I recall an American DJ on Radio Caroline back in 60s pronouncing Portlaoise as Port Louise. :D Certain logic to attempt when you think of it.
Always get a laugh when I'm talking to anyone in England over the 'phone and hear them trying to pronounce Ballinasloe.LOL:D
What annoys me is when Gary Doherty is coming on why do Sky Sports always call him Gary Dockerty ??Quote:
