We were fined for this earlier in the season, and it should have been sorted out. Teams have right to expect decent shower facilities. Funny thing is, we have plumber on our committee!
On the wider note, the fines thing is going crazy. Every league club gets a €3000 grant for their under-21 side. I'd say we have easily paid out at least half that in fines this season: €20 per yellow and €100 for the club if 5 or more players are booked. When the Chariman threatened not to pay one, it was simply deducted from the Under-21 grant.
What happens the money?
Ha ha ha, it turns out Kevin the plumber installed a new pump which worked too well: the players used up all the hot water which meant the water was cold by the time the referees had finished congratulating themselves on what a good job they'd done (and filled in 4 expenses forms for their shared car) got into the shower there was no hot water left and they had cold showers. Ha ha ha, no wonder we get so many red cards!
Makes a €500 fines all the more ridiculous when it can be shown that the club did something about it, but the only way it can be tested is in a real after-match situation.
dear god... hubris, I think is the word.Quote:
