If boez players treated every game like they do games against Rovers they'd be closer to looking like title contenders

Shocking game of ball down at Turners Cross but if anyone was going to nick it it was more likely to have been Cork with the late pressure they had in the last few mins. Pats with 1 shot on target against a defence that hadn’t kept a clean sheet all season up to tonight sums up the season for them. 5th 0-0 draw this year so far involving Pats
Is it the camera angle or just me, or is Kenny becoming even more awkward at video interviews, the one tonight after Cork C game, he's almost looking away from camera at all questions and side wide only when answering. He should have got media training even at Dundalk, and especially Ireland, honestly think he's turning a bit odd. Still a great manager and has 5 PD titles, but surely he has to be doing better.
Plus where is this blistering form that saw them finish so strong end of 2024, lots of Dundalk fans I know have long lost bets on them winning the 2025 PD, and Pats were joint favs in Jan. For the reported huge wages he is on, it must be a source of huge frustration for Pats.
On the more modest side of the budget set up, Kilduff after a mini wobble did a great job in setting Dundalk up for a well deserved win v Cobh and restoring the 4 point lead, FD can be brutal at times, but at last some good football to watch, Cobh came into it as expected last 15 but not sure they caused too much problems, Animasahun was very good in central defence, and Arbui a live wire and the difference up front. Still mostly a team of kids flanked by Horgan and Dervin.
Tough game to judge there in Dalymount tonight. Bohs were certainly feeling the effects of the intensity on Monday and you can see the need for additional depth in the squad but there were enough chances squandered there tonight to win 3 matches. Eldings goal for Sligo was a cracker and after that Sligo were happy to sit back and absorb pressure. Great to see us dig in and get the equalizer and great to see the team still push for the winner well into stoppage time. That fight will keep us in or near the European places this year which is what every Bohs fan targeted this year.
You can't have been that brilient you were calling for the managers head halfway through the season ;).
I think we need to change the plan against bohs, it looks like bradley is determined to treat these games as just another 3 points and I almost feel it's draining some of the passion out of our lads for these games. Roll the sleeves up and compete and our better players will come through.
Whatever though I'm happy with 6 points in the last week to bohs 4 but derry getting 9 was / is a worry. Depending how derry get on with the games in hand one against bohs it will be a big game against them on August 1st.
We were awful in the first ten games, but the transformation has been unbelievable.
Shams should win the league, although apart from noonan who’s excellent they’re light up front maybe the new lad will be a hit.
Europe will leave a mark even on a big squad though, no doubt.
Bohs don’t I feel have enough quality up front or at cb to last out, top four though is possible.
Derry with their resources are the ones who could push it, shells and pats will have to manage Europe too.
I don’t feel drogs have a title push but again could push for top 4
Saw a good stat on Twitter there, last night Wexford became the first side in LOI history to be losing a game by 2 goals with 10 men at half time and go on to win the game. A brilliant effort from the players to be fair to them
Coming back was impressive for sure but competing against ten ment is overestimated. Unless playing a really gifted side that can stretch you all out of shape (England v Ireland eg) then its doent make a huge difference. 9 men yes but 10 often makes it harder to play against and the extra shift put in by the 10 mean and its a grind all round. Be interesting to see general stats on it.
