jesus yeah - welsh ppl are very proud of their language - put a lot of us to shame.
just a quick word -- stop being so feckin lazy and learn the anthem. I'm sick of ppls sob stories saying "oh it was beaten into me .. thats why i dont like the language". If this is the case, you didnt like the subject at school!!! I feckin hated english at school!!! A load of crap stories like Emma etc were nearly beaten into me like Peig and scothscéalta were beaten into others!! It doest mean I hate the English language (although I'd prefer if everyone could speak it in day to day life).
Be proud of your language - make the effort! Apologies for the rant. Its good to see the ppl in this forum making an effort and thinking about it!

Be proud of Gaelic it's one of the ways to be proud of being Irish :)
