Good lad. Make a stupid statement, hide behind ambivalence. Quality internetting.

Sligo deserved the win based on the first 80 or so minutes but we can feel unlucky not to have come away with something given what we created in the period that followed. Think the league could be an absolute mess this season from 3rd-7th, really fine margins involved.
Solid start by Dundalk, scored 4 and conceded 4 but unbeaten and two games we probably would have lost last year.
SOD seems to have brought a settled look to the team. Be good to get the first win mind.
Ah well to be honest Shams fans have much more form for that, which I have witnessed on several occasions myself in the Showgrounds. Not that Derry fans should have done the same. Probably a bit of overreaction to what had gone on before and not their normal behaviour from years of seeing them travel in great numbers to the Showgrounds.
Galway were down to ten men for a good chunk of the second half after taking a first half lead through what looked like a defensive mistake from a center back playing out of position at right back. We had plenty of possession and tried to play a passing game to open up their defence but we were just too slow at moving the ball around.
We did force their keeper to make a handful of good saves, including a double save in the second half and two saves from headers at point blank range in the space of about a minute in the first half. The first in particular was impressive as he got down low to save it. The second seemed like a reaction save with his foot.
Disappointing not to win or score in front of a huge home crowd.
Yeah, fair enough summary - though I think we could have had two penalties. The one where the linesman overruled the ref and gave us a free right on the edge was apparently a penalty too (said the PA guy on that side)
Hit the bar too, but Harps probably shaded it in a poor game on a poor pitch.
Are you just here to deflect? It's no wonder Rovers have had these problems for so long when the first response is to point the finger somewhere else. Own your problems.
At least Calcio had the balls to condemn the behaviour and as he said these are members. If this is how the members act it's no wonder it has never been addressed. Feel sorry for genuine Rovers fans, same with our own gob****es. Big opportunity for Rovers to stamp this out now. A nation holds its breath
Thought Derry just about deserved the win although they also should have been down to ten men from the first half. But on play they probably shaded it with their first half performance and the start of the second. Chances were even enough but I just thought they looked better balanced and their approach suited the conditions more.
That said we were completely dominant after Burke and Watts came on and only lost via a complete melter of a mistake from Pico.
Makes it interesting. Derry definitely have a bit about them and McGonigle looks the business. I'm tipping them now to go undeafeated at home but will they have the depth to go all the way? I'm not sure. They could always bring in a few more though.
Second most painful retort by a Mcgonigle tonight.
I'm just calling out the stupidity of a post claiming Rovers fans are the only ones who invade pitches in a game where both sets of fans invaded the pitch. That doesn't make pitch invasions acceptable. I hereby condemn them. Unless it's a cup final or a last minute winner.
Disgraceful comments from some idiots in our section at Forrester. He eventually turned around and gave out to them. No need for it whatsoever. A sour note.
He didn't say Rovers were the only ones, Derry were obviously left out to ensure maximum windup was achieved.
Derry's was a last minute winner so by your own criteria you shouldn't be calling it out, right?
Anyway never mind, Calcio has articulated what most reasonable Rovers fans will be thinking. You can stick your blinkers back on
Bradser capitulates first time under any pressure, good job it's not European season yet.
He literally did. "Sham(rock Rover)s windowlickers on the pitch again. What is it about jumping across the advertising that they can't stayin the stands like everyone else?"
Then Derry invaded the pitch in what must have been the very first instance of a fanbase other than Rovers doing so. Life comes at you fast etc.
I've never really understood why any fans do it Nesta. Seems like way more trouble than it's worth and it's a better buzz hugging the oxygen out of all and sundry around you in the stand where it's nice and warm any way. I'd end up ripping my pants or something getting over the barrier. And then they get on the pitch and just look embarrassing.
Hard to disagree. Can't say much about either penalty shout, second one looked a dive from where we were but impossible to tell really without a closer look at footage.
McNamee missed three great chances, including a one on one where I can only suggest he had a total brain fart, two top class saves by UCD keeper from Mihaljevic and Connolly, but overall it was a very poor game. Pitch obviously didn't help matters, but can't take all the blame for it.
No qualms with any fans.
The game and atmosphere had an edge to it and it was absolutely fantastic.
We were very lucky not to go down to 10 men early enough in the game then were the better side first half. Rovers much the better side second half and a draw fair enough but we have the best attacking player in the league in McGonigle and he scored a class goal.
Looking at Rovers bench it remains pretty unlikely they don’t win the league but at least cat is amongst the pigeons early on.
Don’t over egg the fan stuff fair play Rovers for the big support and nice to have an edge to a game like that, it’s what it is all about.
Waterford beat Bray 1 0 in a scrappy game at the RSC. Louis Britton missed 2 good chances but made it 3rd time lucky from close range after mistake from Bray defender.
Waterford missed a few chances in 2nd half that would have killed off the game. Bray didn't threaten much but had 2 late corners that were cleared to the relief of the big home crowd.
Don't deny the sad, lonely dalk fans on here to chance to vent their little spleen, with your reasoned, balanced opinion. It's all they have left.
Fairly windy last night, but decent game all the same and a cracking atmosphere. Derry will be formidable at home this season. Delighted to see Brando play, he's a real talent in my view.
I think Rovers will be OK.
