You'd swear he was the only CM player left in the whole country. If you go back through my posts at the start of the season, I was one of the people hoping that he would be signed, I was also one of the people who lamented his loss 'cos our CM is so average. But since then I've been told by numerous people that Sweeney has no interest in playing at this level for the foreseeble future, so as far as i'm concerned he is in the past.
Brendan Hughes is no loss because he hasn't impressed this season, I think Keith Hartnett is a better player anyway.
He's been very unlucky though, most of his injuries have been upper-body\shoulder injuries. With Gaelic now resembling Rugby League it's no surprise really.Quote:

Unless the rules have changed (and knowing our administration in this league they almost certainly have. At least twice. Since I started typing this sentence) you're allowed four overage players in your squad. Maybe somebody else could confirm this. Stephen O'Flynn, for example, played quite a bit for Cork City's U-21's as he came back from breaking his leg last year. So I'd hold on to Hartnett anyway.Quote:
