I suppose I do, but some of your posts last night led me to think differently.

No you didn't, although I do get a little worried when everything turns into a prayer-a-thon. We're not all as staunch as you, me boy, and whilst I applaud your devotion, it's occasionally a little misplaced. I'm sure God has His hands full with the idiocies of the human race, famines and wars without worrying about whether we make it to Germany next year or not. Keep the prayers for the things that really matter, eh? :)

Sorry if I talked about prayer that much but most of my posts were simply about faith in our sqaud and belief we can make it to Germany......I did post a prayer yeah and I do mention my religion but that's because it affects every aspect of my life but when I'm saying "we believe" "we have faith" "we can make it to Germany"I'm talking about fatih and belief in our team!
Our believe God will help us yes but last night the majority of my posts were focussed on support and trust in the Ireland sqaud!
I think we can beat Faroes and Cyprus. I think we can beat France .. then it will all come down to the final match Switzerland.. they are great but we will struggle against them

Agree with you Soper, France are due to come good. The thought of Henry sprinting at the ageing Kenny Cunningham scares the sh!t out of me.Quote:

Well Liam, "fair juice" to you if that didn't drive you to the demon drop. It has done to many a weaker man. :)Quote:

This is great lads. Lets get all the irish fans to have a bad feeling about the Swiss and French matches. Just like Holland in 2001. people were like i dont know and we all know how ireland played. So the more bad feelings we get the more i believe we can still go to Germany.
And lets not forget.....Ireland should of scored 4 goals last night in the second half. We were like United in the FA cup final....unlucky.
So can Ireland still go to Germany????
Of course its in out hands.
The Swiss are no better than the Israeli's and we can quite easily beat them.Quote:

It may surprise you but we can lose one of Faroes & Cyprus, or draw both and mathematically win the group!

Were in the same position now as FRANCE. Fair enough we have to get 3 points out in the faroes but its all to play for.
I think we're in a much better position than the French. They still have to travel to Dublin and Switzerland the 2 toughest teams at home.Quote:

Lads......we're going to Germany!
The only advantage that Switzerland have over us is that they are still favourites to take 3 points from Israel at home in my view. But they still have to come here, play France and go to Cyprus who they struggled against at home. France have to go away twice but they have both minnows at home (good for goal difference).
I think it's more likely than not that we'll finish in the top 2.
Who'd settle for second place now? I'm torn but I think we should still be looking to win the flipping thing.
