R.I.P.
Athlone vs Galway this Friday is off as a mark of respect to Shane Brennan,
RIP
Shane truly was a genuinely nice guy, he'd always make the time to stop and have a chat with you. He will be sadly missed by everyone that knew him. My condolences to his family and may he rest in peace.
Such a terrible tragedy.
My condolences to his family and friends.
May he rest in peace.

Gutted by the news. My condolences to his family, the team, my Athlone Foot.ie friends and the club.
RTE did have it Hamish. They just had it in the news part, not in the sport.
Thanks for that, man. I missed the news section so I'll edit out the criticism to be fair. Hope you're keeping up.Quote:

Condolences to his entire family his friends in Newtownforbes, his Athlone Town team-mates, his DIT team-mates and his Irish International Combined Universities and Colleges squad mates. However the Irish squad does at the World Student Games will no longer matter.
Rest In Peace.
Beautifully put, CTIF, you're a gent. :)
I hope it was acknowledged by a minutes silence at Turners Cross last night and is recognised at every game this weekend. And that hopefully the Eircom League or PFAI will see to organising a benefit game for his family.

I'm sure they'll make their sympathies known at some stage. Great to see that so many turned out. God help his poor family too.Quote:
