Hard to imagine that any list of the top 6 keepers in the world currently would not include Cassilas or Buffon. I would have thought that both would be automatic choices. Personally I rate Buffon the best,, closely followed by Cassilas.Quote:

Can't argue with that! :pQuote:

Sepp Mair (spelling?) was outstanding.
There was a south American keeper in the '80s who used to do amazing stunts - can't think of his name
Are you talking about this guyQuote:

Jorge Campos also did it a few times but never risked it in an official game, just in friendlies.
Lads, lads...
my favourite goalkeeper ever was Bruce Grobbelaar , closely followed by Peter Schmeichel (who was absolutely awesome).
Maybe I'm a bit partizan, but at the moment I think were blessed to have a goalie like Shay Given. However Packie Bonner is the goalie that has provided the single most extatic goalkeeping moment of my life!
Isn't that that save that's painted on a wall within the famous pub/restaurant "Cookoo's Nest" along Greenhills Road in Tallaght ??
Ireland's had some very good goalkeepers during the last decades. Given is absolute world class.
Dunno, but its etched into my mind anyway!Quote:
