The gulf in class between premier and first all season long really is substantial so I think should athlone get into the play offs you'd have to just fancy them to see of galway over 2 legs but UCD have been woeful all season and would be coming into the play offs in no form at all bar that result in Derry plus galway will have more fans than UCD at both games so I'm sure that's the result galway are hoping for this weekend.Quote:

They owe a fair whack to current employees too apparently but you'd imagine they'll do a deal with them.
It would be somewhat ironic if Bray, having been saved from relegation by imploding clubs on more than one occasion, were to save another club by imploding in a season they avoided relegation on the field.

Hard luck Athlone. Been very competitive since Keith Long came in and probably could have won more games. Ultimately the wretched start to the season cost them.
Interesting to see that Rico was late for the match in Belfield, any particular reason for this?
