Club Budgets

I'd say Taylor was by far the highest paid manager if the rumours of his wages are true.

Not at all. Ian was on a very good wage from what I heard. Probably around the same our best paid players I'd say. 3 trophies in 2.5 seasons ... he deserved it too.

Madness given he had no track record. Hopefully Limerick have learned from that episode because all jokes aside, a strong Limerick team is undoubtedly good for the league.

Agree with you there. I didn't mind them going for a young manager who had a good reputation but the money spent on him was too much. The money he wasted was ridiculous too. Brought in some quality but turned away too much quality also.

This is a good discussion as a study has shown that the playing budget decides, most of the time, what position in the league, a club finishes. Why do people think T Crolly was not telling the truth?. With his close relationship with the guys in the PFAI and having rotated so many players between St Pats and Shamrock R I think he would have a good idea. A good manager is someone who finishes higher that where the club's wage bill would indicate. Who are the best examples?
