Only thing is, worst case scenario they'll all stay in the Championship. Fingers crossed, though, that Doyle and Hoolahan make a jump to PL level. Both could be integral in the 2016 qualifying campaign on the basis of the system O'Neill appears intent on implementing (Hoolahan seems first choice at 10, Doyle could be a viable option as lone striker).
Hoolahan is the man I'd be most anxious to see get a move to PL level as he might not even feature that regularly if he stays at Norwich in the Championship. It could be possible that his previous suitors (WBA, Villa) are waiting until later in the transfer window to force Norwich's hand, rather than having to pay fees in excess of £1m right now. I'm sure most here would argue his value in excess of this figure and would represent value for two sides who struggled to hold onto the ball last year but we're not paying the money.
Very good move. Did we have any confirmation of his eligibility other than Pádraig Amond's article in the Carlow Nationalist? Amond claimed Hogan had been called up to our under 21 side in the same article and there has been no squad announcement to show same.
EDIT: Here's what he thinks of the English national side: http://instagram.com/p/pcJVp2JaiR/
Call him up MON!
Does anyone know anything about this lad Emmet O'Connor? A Canadian with an Irish passport and now on trial at Crawley. In other Crawley news, Conor Henderson scored in a friendly during the week.

The Worm would not be happy - David Connolly to be released by Portsmouth.

McAlinden supposedly not in Wolves' first team plans which is disappointing and wanted on loan by Bristol City.

Doyle, Ward, Foley, Forde, McAlinden, McCarey.
No Irish need apply.
I was thinking that today as well after reading jackett yesterday as well.
Alan Browne and Will Hayhurst both starting first half against Liverpool today. Team being entirely changed for second half.
No sign of Graham Cummins on either half or the subs bench.
Had forgotten about this bloke Rhys Murphy, a move to Barnsley has been rejected.

Conor Wilkinson seems to be showing good form at the moment. Will be interesting to watch his progress.

Wilkinson was promoted to the under 21s for their friendly against Qatar: http://www.fai.ie/international/unde...n-germany.html
I've been updating the site over the last few days with summer transfers, and the following players have been released
Clinton Morrison
Saul Deeney
Sean St Ledger
Tim Clancy
Leon McSweeney
Stephen Elliott
Stephen Dawson
Keith Treacy
Scott Davies
Graham Carey (training with Kilmarnock)
Gary Deegan
Graham Cummins
Evan Finnegan
Patrick Cregg (training with Torquay)
I'd say Stephen Elliott is retired now. He left Coventry over a year ago.
Brandon Miele and quite a few other youth players have been released too.
Found out from this website which is very detailed. It really is a meat market.

Josh O'Hanlon is going on loan to Poole from Bournemouth.

He was out injured for all of last season after leaving Coventry and had to recover by himself. There's an interview with him from last December with the Herald that goes into more detil here: http://www.herald.ie/sport/soccer/li...-29830258.html
According to his twitter bio, he's "fighting fit ready for 14/15" so he's on the lookout for a club: https://twitter.com/SleevesElliott
It's a pity that a player like Elliott is struggling to find a club. You'd wonder whether a short summer stint in the LoI might have helped him prove his fitness. I imagine his wage demands wouldn't be excessive for putting himself in the shop window, and Pats, Dundalk, Derry and Sligo could have benefitted from someone with his instinct and experience in their European ties.
Some very decent players in Tets list.
