Kiernan was on the televised game v Leeds yesterday but I only saw bits of it. It looked like he was playing left back?

He was playing on the left side of a three man defence with Boyce and Ramis. You're lucky you only saw bits of it as it was a brutal game. Wigan were poor and the only reason they won was that Leeds are garbage at the moment. I noticed Roy was there, I wonder did he manage to stay until the end. He must have been watching Kiernan as I don't think there was any other Irish player on view. McClean did come on late on but I'm sure he already knows what he can (and can't do!).Quote:

Gunning has just been released, Colin Doyle too. Sky Sports News naming all the released players in the lower leagues tonight. A few other Irish on the list unfortunately.

Agreed. Looks like there were issues with his medical at Birmingham before Mark Warburton, with whom he seems to have a good relationship, nipped in. I will say that Warburton seems to be a fine coach/manager and the two young centre halves at Brentford thrived under him this season. Still though, silly move only made sillier if they fail to go up this season again.Quote:

Article is more than a touch bitter but hard to argue too much with the sentiment.
Kiernan hopes Rangers move can lead to International call-up.
