Average age of Harps starting team last night was 23, including a full debut for 17 year old Cathal McDaid who started left wing.
You had a slightly weaker side out last night, but by no means was that a second team.

Hope, Shaw, Purdy, Lee, McDonagh, Crawley, Skelly, Gillespie, Collins. None of those played and would more than likely be in our first choice team. Bermingham would be there or thereabouts. Our u19s aren't very good by national standards either.
FAI site credits Paul Malone (not Furlong) with Youths' first goal last night. Is that right?

Could have sworn it was the #9 shirt, Jackman PA said as much.
ForzaForth thought it was Malone too
First time I saw the side show bob lookalike from Derry, Mcnamee looks a
really really good prospect.
Apparently, Furlong and Mick Wallace have said that it wasn't Furlong's goal and the referee has confirmed it (so I'm told anyway). That means it's a three way tie (although RSSSF's top scorer lists always include play-off goals). Fair play to Furlong and Wallace if this is the case. As someone said on facebook, 'Irish politician in honesty shocker'!!
Good to see it resolved so easily if that's the case.
Means Kevin McHugh ends up joint top scorer in the division in his testimonial year with Harps.
