Seems to me he's blaming the manager for the poor performances. The quotes you've chosen don't strengthen your argument, in my opinion.
The team are going to 'bludgen' their way to the premier division because that's how Scully sends them out to play, is what I think Gael is saying.
The back four being 'redundent' isn't criticism at all.
