Would be very surprised if it's Cooke. Can't see him leaving Monaghan in the lurch like this after being there so long. It would be bad form.

I've seen some dumb decisions made in the LOI in the last few years, but that would top the lot. He needs his head examined if it's true.

Really don't get the hype over Cooke. Spent 7 or 8 years doing nothing at Monaghan, who were happy to let him. Regularly lost to non-league opposition in the Cup, before eventually almost doing something last season.

Screwed us around for an age during the close season, but eventually decided to stick with Mons. Dodged a bullet there thank God.
