I think that's his point. This is a news grab, not a real bid. Remember when Liverpool were trying to get into the CL as holders but England already had four teams? Harris offered Liverpool a play-off for one spot. It's just getting people talking about TNS, and it's worked.

Only people who'd be laughing are those who know who Paddy Madden is and who don't know who Mike Harris is; that's not a lot of people.
