Why can't Tardelli do the U21 job?
Brady or Fenlon for me.
I'm not nearly as sure that he tried his best. Maybe he did, and if so it should have been clear to him a long time ago that he wasn't the man for the job. Instead he lingered on like a bad smell until he was guaranteed something else. Hard top blame him really it's the FAI I'd have the main beef with, that said I wouldn't feel any sense of gratitude for Givens lame efforts. If I come across bitter it's probably because I am, it is 10 years in the making.
I'll feel a lot better about the whole thing if an appropriate manager is named but I've a bad feeling it will be another middle aged FAI yes man.
watch our results pick up!
That is the scary thing about it, he shouldn't ever be given a job again yet he gets another key role. A guy who is continually fighting with U21 players in the papers and media. He is a joke, what in gods name has to happen for the guy to go?
You would seriously have to worry about the powers that be in the FAI if they continue to show faith in this guy.
There are plenty of examples of FAI employees who are "fired" or "step aside" or "step down" who are moved into other jobs in the organisation...it's ridiculous...
I also saw in one of the papers(Herald I think) the Noel King was the man for the job.....the man who has been in charge of the Senior Women's team for 12 years...and never qualified for anything. (Yes I know that the U17's qualified for the Euro semi-finals...but he has had his nose in that trough for the past three years if not longer....you'll eventually roll sixes if you roll the dice enough!)
Any views on this?
I'd like to see Brady myself. He has the experience and he has the right attitude from working with Wenger I think.
We should bump this thread every month so that we may never forget.
