Terry Phelan doesn't coach Otago anymore. Replaced this season by Malcolm Fleming.
Rob Kelly - at Preston, was in charge before Ferguson was appointed and also managed Leicester, think he won a B cap for us, could be wrong on that but definately sees himself as Irish. Birmingham born to Irish parents AFAIK.
Alan Kernaghan had a spell as Dundee boss.

Spiers in the Times was very positive about the possible appointment of Fenlon
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/spo...cle6982946.ece
£300k does seem a little excessive for Fenlon if DU could only manage £260k for Levein from the SFA.
Do you know what salary Fenlon was on and what term was left on his contract?
Martin O'Neill, Sammy McIlroy & Brendan Rodgers are NI Managers.
I'm just glad that no-one has suggested the Maltese Pigeon as an Irish manager abroad.
If we're going to count Martin O'Neill then we should also count Nigel Worthington, Manager of the Northern Ireland team.
Also Brian Kerr, manager of Faroes.
he was under a 3 year contract with Bohs with a base salary of around e100k probably a little less. We were looking for gbp200k, DU offered 80k, then 100k. Its a great thing that we stood our ground and demanded suitable compensation - its all too often that British clubs rape the League of its best talents for next to nothing.
The list is looking at lot healtier than if it was compiled a few years ago anyway.
Clutching a straws a bit but David Kelly is assistant manager at Forest, maybe he will make the step up at another club soon.
Any other young(ish) assistants that could go on to be head coaches?
Mick McCarthy - Wolves
Owen Coyle - Bolton
Roy Keane - Ipswich
Chris Hughton - Newcastle
John Sheridan - Chesterfield
Steve Staunton - Darlington
Brian Kerr - Faroe Islands
Jim Gannon (ex Motherwell/Stockport County & Dundalk)
Sean O'Driscoll - Doncaster Rovers
David O'Leary (ex Leeds & Aston Villa)
Jeff Kenna (ex Galway Utd & St Pats)
Pat Walker - Sandefjord
Gary Waddock - Wycombe Wanderers
Liam Daish - Ebbsfleet United
Terry Phelan - (ex Otaga United FC)
David Kelly - (Asst Manager at Nottm Forest)
Terry Phelan had an embarrassing record with Otaga but could he claim to have laid the foundations for the new manager who has the club flying near the top of the table? :D
Somehow Terry's reputation hasn't suffered too much and he got a profile job coaching with the NZ FA.
In an (almost) unrelated footnote, I see Jason Kabia is working in LA for Elite Irish Soccer School
