anyway Dano had to be released as you cant be a pro and an amateur at the same time (Limerick Pro, Mervue Amateur) i would have liked him to stay on our books someway but by moving to Mervue this wasnt possible. dont think paddy is the answer has been average enough over the last two seasons has lost a bit of pace and is pushing on a bit now for loi in my opinion.

At 29 (I think) age isn't the problem as such but he's struggled for fitness ever since he's come back. I wouldn't go shoving him out the door just I wouldn't be convinced he's going to be a major solution.

i agree that he is still good enough to keep in the squad for his experience for another season or two but we have to start looking for more leaders in the team now that we have lost tommy aswell. we need one of the young lads to step up and take leadership of the team when paddy is out we cant keep going back to this mentality of one player been out is why the team goes to pieces.

Paddy lacking fitness thats kind of what injury is no?And paddy is a far better player than dano who is nothing special calla or donelly can do the same job as dano.Someone tell me what is so special about dano?

I think what people where getting at is why bring in someone like Donnelly when there is someone just as good if not better already at the club. For whatever the reason may be the bottom line is Danagher is gone to Mervue and Donnelly is who Scully wants, end of. I'm sure Dano will do great with Mervue and i wish him all the success. Hopefully we'll see him back with Limerick in the future.
