If RTE can't pay what they're worth, then another network should be able to come in, pay the market value for the rights, which gives them the chance to promote and market the event.

RTE's commitment to promoting sport outside GAA, is lukewarm at best, and nil at worst.

Well the argument would be that increased viewing figures form the alrger platform of national tv would counter balance the money paid by satelitte companies. It would obviously depend on the amount of money
