Yep. "I am the Resurrection" was indeed a milking excercise and a single that was unauthorised by the band. The drum track was altered and the instrumental cut for radio play. Sacrilege.
The short version of Fools Gold (4.15) is in fact the original single version from 1989. There's a subtle difference in the songs arrangement in comparison to the longer version also.
"One Love" and "Somethings Burning" received an unceremonial edit on the cash in "Complete Stone Roses" in '95.
The 1991 released "Turns Into Stone" is worth having as it includes many of the B-sides plus longer versions of One Love and Somethings Burning.
