"It's just like watching Brazil", tonight V Mervue was a good one :D
That utterly brilliant/vile Sol Campbell chant comes to mind.
And another Posh Spice one:
"Posh Spice is a slapper,
She wears a wonderbra,
And when she's shagging Beckham,
She thinks of Ginola."
Wolves fans to Sunderland at some point:
"We'd rather have McCarthy than Roy Keane,
We'd rather have MvCarthy than Roy Keane,
He didn't cripple Haaland,
Or walk out on Ireland,
We'd rather have McCarthy than Roy Keane."
Away at Drogheda in the cup a few years ago Limerick attempted to garner some solidarity with a rousing chant of,
"If you hate Dundalk clap your hands," which we were joined in by a fairly small section of Drogheda fans leading us to switch to,
"You're supposed to hate Dundalk" (ad infinitum).
The birdy song when we were hanging onto a one goal lead late on was genuinely awesome too. Like many things in life it was ruined and despoiled by the younger generation. :p
Castletroy Kid, singing with us next week like a good man? :D
What was the shels chant the other nite. Somet like Shels were goin up but Colin Scanlon F**ked it up, nananananananana? That was classic
Better count the cops before trying that at Tolka in a couple of weeks.
On Friday night at Tallaght Rovers had a pretty moving historical display, minutes applause for dead fans etc etc followed by "You can stick your f^&king history up your ar$e" from the sligo fans. Tasteless but funny.
an old favourit eof mine is was sung at MK Dons fans "No one hates you no one hates you no one hates you no one cares"
Didn't we have a 'We're supposed to be playing Galway' the first time Dundalk visited us after Galway were 'promoted' ahead of them?
Queue Galway fan saying they were invited, not promoted in 3..2..
Just to confirm:
You said the Shels were goin' up, Ha ha, Ha ha.
You said the Shels were goin' up, Ha ha, Ha ha.
You said the Shels were goin' up, then Colin Scanlan f***ed it up,
Ye stupid Shels c***s, not going anywhere.
Na na na na na na na etc..
To Merview last Friday, "Salt Rejects! Salt Rejects!"
Alright, you can look for me, I'll prob be wearin a navy jacket with jeans and a Limerick scarf! :D . . . That's the shtufff!
Wheres your man with the glasses gone who used to start all the songs? Someone on here referred to him as Mark. Any night he has been there the singing has been class. He gets all the songs started. Anyone know him, text him to come along to the next match. We need his support!!!! Can you hear the Limerick sing??????
Ahh that's Mark O' Rioardan. Unfortunately Mark lives in Dublin, but still manages to come down to Jackman for important home games and away games within a close enough radius to Dublin. A true blue.Quote:

a few months back when things were going to pot and emmanuel eboue couldnt do anything right the arsenal fans sang that old motown classic
DONT BLAME IT ON THE SUNSHINE
DONT BLAME IT ON THE MOONLIGHT
DONT BLAME IT ON THE GOOD TIMES
BLAME IT ON EBOUE....:D
Stolen from Liverpool fans who were the first I know to use it after Djimi Traore's own goal in the cup against Burnley a few years back. Liverpool had the good grace to substitute other players names for sunshine/moonlight/good times too. I think Biscan was one of them.
On the other hand it's nice for the scousers to have something stolen from them for a change, see how they like it. :)
went like this...!
Dont blame it on Biscan
Dont blame it on Finnan
Dont blame it on Hamann
blame in on Traore
or even they had this one..
When the ball hits our goal
It's not Sherar or Cole
It's Traore..
He's the **** at the back
Who got Houllier the sack
That's Traore..
they have a good one about JT's ma too i tink..!
