Think I might stick the smallest 3-figure sum that I can on this one. I definitely agree with the comments on Wexford. The fact that they now have some experience in their side for the first time, plus a poacher like Sheehan, should see them pushing for a top-half finish.
What you think of Derry being top after the opening fixtures? They are 5/1 to do so. Tonight could be a tighter game than many people expected in the first place but if someone is going to win tonight by 2 goals or more it would seem that Derry would have the best chance of doing so. Thoughts?
5/1 is a great bet. I'd have most games being tight except there's tbh
damn - just notice you are on here with your LOI bets Raheny Red , as i have already done all my bets:mad:
oh no actually wait - i think i can squeeze a bit out of my PP account just yet:)
I know you lost your last few bets - but its the LOI that is your bread and butter
i actually went with Athlone tonight at 13/8 with PP
and i also backed St pats at 5/6
Where did you see that one?
Does anyone know if Cork are travelling to Sligo tonight, or are they busing it up and down tomorrow given the lack of cash down there at the moment , would have a big affect ont he outcome tomorrow night also there are reports on extratime.ie that Cork have not played any kind of match in 3 weeks.
I think Derry City halftime;fulltime (11/10) is a lot better bet than outright (8/15)
Just taken 5/1 on Derry being Top come tomorrow night.
Mervue at home to Athlone looks good at 13/10 in what must be a big game for them.
Derry must be this weekends "banker", Sporting also good.
E10 on Derry, Sporting & Mervue pays E74.
Should've had more guts to back Galway with hard cash rather than simply in the predictions thread. 5.5 odds and a 3-0 win, sweet jeebus.
I'm ploughing into Finn Harps @ evens away to Kildare. Harps have brought in kids but still have a few experienced players .i.e Gethins (who will score tonight) while Kildare were preparing for the A league and have awful players for the first division. Haprs were 5/4 during the week and are not as short as 8/11. 28k traded on betfair - 23 of that on the away win. This could be a walk in the park for Harps.
You might be right, and I really hope you are, but our defence is feckin hopeless. Even by Harps standards!
I find betting on Division 1 games pretty hard.
I've a fair idea that Harps won't be as good as a couple of years ago in Division 1 but you're merely guessing at how good or bad Kildare are going to be.
You're obviously at a huge advantage though of seeing these teams weekly...
