I remember him, just about though. He was on loan from Motherwell if my memory serves me right. It was around the time they had a load of goalkeepers out through injury etc... It was an emergency loan wasn't it?

He made two first team appearances.

If I remember correctly he made as debut vs Southampton at The Dell and went on to play once more for United then Barthez came back.

Seem to remember him playing for then against Celtic too, Giggs testomonial in Old Trafford if memory serves. Ferguson stuck him on near the end in the goal in front of the Celtic supporter end. He got a a load of abuse
