Mock the Week Vs Have I Got News for You

Possibly two of the greatest jokes Frankie Boyle has produced on Mock the Week. The second video only made it to the DVD as it was deemed too offensive. I wonder why?:D

That wasnt the point of starting the thread BohsPartisan, I love both shows but did say which did people prefer, not neccessarily which was better.

i downloaded the first two - absolutely must watch tv - India is a nation that is just plain loopy

Frankie Boyle is very funny but can get a little annoying after a sustained period. The Mock the Week: Too Hot For TV DVD is basically just continuous Boyle and after an hour or so it just gets grating. Don't get me wrong, I think he's a very witty man, but sometimes it's just grating to hear yet another "OMG Did he just say that?" gag followed by that "Whaaat?" grin. Hugh Dennis used to be great but looked a little off form in the last series, perhaps because it's now the Boyle-Howard show. And too many of his jokes are of the "Are you paying too much for your car insurance?" ilk. The sooner Andy Parsons gets taken off the show the better because he's one of the unfunniest people of TV; "What. I. Don't. Get. Right?....Is. Hooow...etc etc." Stop, please. Dara is brilliant, a naturally gifted comedian and host.

MTW is like HIGNFY's crude, immature but very funny younger brother. But HIGNFY is still the original and best.
