I understood the thinking at the time as a few recently retired international players had done well with their national teams (VB, Klins) and the team lacked passion in the previous campaign under Kerr. Bringing stan in was supposed to bring back all that, although i had felt at the time that if that was the criteria, surely aldridge would have been the better choice.
However, whats past is past and I wish the lad well, in the same way I like to see Mick doing well with Wolves.
