I wasn't having a pop at John, I just really expected Avondale to attract a top drawer manager possibly ex Loi player coach etc.
John Ryan played LOI for Cobh. Very good player.
Superkeeper, what manager would you have liked to see at Avondale.
That's a good question Dixie. I suppose the fact that AUL clubs go back sooner maybe it's up to the clubs who they are training with to impress them. Like I said before apart from MSL Prem and top 4/5 of MSL 1 then there is very little between top AUL teams and the rest. That MSL Div 2 is very poor. I'm tipping Casement to win it handy

2nd Div Casement and Glasheen/Cobh Wanderers
1st Div Blarney and CIT up, Wilton and Mallow down
Prem Avondale winners Rockmount Runners up, Bandon and Marys down
Hard to say at this early stage but dont think the above predictions will be a milion miles off

Yes we're back. Flying off to Portugal for a week of hot weather training.

I wouldn't be criticising John Ryan for ringing players, I would be criticising him if he wasn't ringing them!! It'll be interesting to see if he can somehow improve on the fantastic squad they had last year.

Fermoy will be there or there abouts come end of May honest bunch of local lads with Slatts involved.

Decent game last night as discussed above. We trained tue first session so a match that early was a big ask. They took their chances and do look very decent. Missed pen and 3/4 off the post and bar for us would have had scoreline better. Not in the least bit worried about scores now though - all about fitness and match sharpness. Crofton next wed and City youths next Fri night the up oming outings with 5/6 more bodies returning from hols for them.
Good result for Casement even tho a few of the starters last night are signed with other teams and training each week with said teams and playing matchs aswell for other teams but you'll get that this time of year.

Casement 3-1 against carrigaline great game but wasn't easy but casement took there chances ... Everton junior premier drew 3 all with blarney street
Was at the game and to be honest carrigaline should have won with the chance they missed casement got lucky by lumping it forward they got caught carrigaline out but was a brutal game all in all...Quote:
