Midleton probably left the three points behind them,Knowles missed penalty for Midleton on stroke of half time,midleton also had a couple of other chances,to be honest fermoy had a very good chance at in second half and Midleton keeper looked to hav carried the ball over the line but very hard to tell from long range effort,Midleton had one or two chances in second half also,but really was a game that neither team wanted to make that dreaded mistake.
Makes next weeks games interesting .. Heard Everton were unlucky not come away with something vs Avondale . Any report on that game

Mighty almighty said it all above to be fair, very accurate report. They score the pen and we have to chase the game. Mick saves it and we can carry on being solid and then go at it for last 20 mins when we are strong. Plan worked and we created the one real good chance with 3 left but just couldn't lift it over the keeper.
All to play for now for all four teams still involved. Hopefully we've given ourselves a shot at staying up or at least a play off against all the odds. Would be awesome if we can pull one more win from the bag and see where that brings us. But thrilled to be there or thereabouts at this late stage.

Both ourselves and Marys assumed it would be Sunday 26th (depending on Mary's outcome vs UCC this weekend in the Beamish semi obviously). Discussed it with them last Sunday and that's what they were told. Can't see why it isn't on the Tuesday at the very least with Midleton playing at the same time. the way they have it now if our lads fail to win tuesday and marys get a point against avondale our lads go down and marys go into there last game against fermoy knowing a draw will keep them up.if the league done it the right way and got marys to play avondale during the past week and if marys took a point from avondale,marys would be go to fermoy (tuesday night same kick off time as mayfield v everton) 2 points clear of mayfield and fermoy and would have to go all out to get the win to make sure there safe.i can't see why marys had to play against ucc in the cup semi final today,surely that could have waited till next weekQuote:
