Derry have signed a Canadian winger Ben Fisk.
Was at Edmonton, and a few Spanish B sides beforehand.
Also played a couple of times for the Canadian national side last year.

Dessie Hutchinson (Brighton) and Noa Baba (Fulham, Birmingham, Macclesfield) sign for Waterford
Ho Ho hoover
hopefully not in this window :)
Apart of the Bray new signings, SHarding and Walsh.
Can any of the new players play this friday?
Seems like Mark O'Sullivan, Henry Cameron, Darren Dennehy and Daniel Kearns have left Limerick by mutual consent.
Probably some more to come as well, as we try to reduce the wage bill.
McEleney confirmed as signing by local radio, 2 year deal
Club tweet saying it’s false news
To be fair DFC didn’t mention LMFM nor McEleney on the tweet, but it was obviously aimed at them and about him. In saying that, no need for them to tweet anything if nothing is confirmed on any new signing.
Two are probably due to sign before / early July though. I`m sure LMFM will let us know who and when !
Besides if one is going to be McEleney, they still need to agree the package and Dundalk don't want to pay any fee to Oldham, that could be far from agreed.
I read the other thread first and thought this was a done deal.
Bit strange denying it alright but maybe after the Sheppard scenario they want to wait until the player is registered with the FAI before formally announcing.
Once bitten and all that, would make sense.
Ah sure we only have a sink you boys have the whole kitchen :)
Scott Whiteside has left Derry for Ballymena.
Can't blame him. We're leaking goals and he barely gets a sniff at playing.
I think we are down to throwing the Scullery. :)
Seriously though if you boys sign MeEleney, sign up Duffy , keep Adnorjan and keep hoovering up the likes of Murrey et al its going to be very hard to compete.
The crowds Cork get does help and might keep them competitive but your American overlords seem to have money to burn.
Partly I suppose down to the fact that our league exists on such Micky mouse money that their investment is a bit like buying a new Super car in the states or an apartment in New York, just not relevant to them and an extra 500 a week for MeEleney or duffy means nothing.
The only thing that might upset the applecart would be an early (round two) exit from Europe and if Cork managed to win the league....(tonight is huge)
Duffus set to extend he’s loan with Waterford after Oldham turn Rovers and Cork down. Huge boost if true, available tomorrow going by the club site
Jack Doyle is leaving ourselves, going back to Blackburn Rovers. No loan extension.
That's a loss.
The Mac is back, on a 3.5 year contract.
Dundalk FC is delighted to announce that Patrick McEleney has become a Lilywhite for the second time in his career, after signing a contract that sees him committing to the Club for the next three and a half seasons.

Not the last signing of the day apparently.
Georgie Kelly announced. 2.5 year deal.
Some Monday morning for Lilywhites.

2 great signings. Tough calls for Kenny on who plays now!
Super signings, and good to see the contract lengths too McEleney (3.5 yrs) and Kelly (2.5 yrs). Good pieces of business and good statement of intent. Dundalk’s options up front if Hoban ever got injured / suspended was very limited. Murray seems to be used behind the striker or wide, and Tagbajuni is not the answer. Kelly looks a great prospect and is available immediately it seems, was rumoured he would be loaned straight back to UCD, but looks like he will be available for selection this Friday.
Just where McEleney fits in for the immediate term is anyone’s guess, plus he might be a little behind in terms of fitness, but quality players improve every squad. Looking like Dundalk paid a fee for McEleney, seems crazy when he left for free, but his contract was up so nothing they could have done at the time to command a fee and he was offered a new one I think.
Oldhams website said undisclosed fee.
https://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/new...ney-departure/
Oldham released a tweet saying he has left for ‘an undisclosed fee’, maybe its part of the package agreed?
Does this mean Adorjan is probably not sticking around then?
Tha'ts not clear. He is on loan to end July
The word is that Stephen Kenny has been keen to sign him, even with the McEleney signing going through, but that negotiations are at an impasse with Novaro in Italy where Adorjan has a year remaining on his contract

Dundalk burning through the money it seems. If you got it flaunt it, I suppose.
Thankfully for the rest of the league only 11 allowed out on the pitch at one time.
A lot of talent on the bench scratching their ar$es.
Extra pressure now on Kenny & backroom staff to deliver constant silverware & European success?
The pessimist in me sees the bedsheet coming back out in the next 10 years..
I doubt if making two signings actually delivers any extra pressure on Stephen Kenny or his backroom team - the expectations are high and that has been the case for a number of years.
The issue of managing a large squad is probably a more pertinent one - in the past the manager seemed to prefer to work with smaller squads, but he does not appear to have had any obvious issues with managing and motivating a large squad so far this season. I also expect some departures to happen in this window.
If the ambition of the club is to regularly compete at the group stages in Europe the quality and depth of the squad is important. Winning this years league championship is obviously a crucial milestone target and these signings can only help with trying to achieve both those aims
Will the added investment cause the club to crash and burn or will it simply lead to achieving success and the huge financial returns available from European football? Time will tell, but the level of confidence in the new owners is increasing as the season progresses
Doesn’t sound like Kelly is going back to UCD on loan just yet so that’s good news for us and the others in the promotion shake up.
He didn't help us on Friday in fairness!
Danny Seabourne signs for Derry from Exeter.

A experienced centre-half. That's what we need.
Greg Moorhouse has signed for Shelbourne from Sligo Rovers
Blues confirmed the signing of Angolan international midfielder Carlos 'Rudy' Wilson which gives us yet another ska song to chant
