You probably just don't "get it", its great (FACT....You can take that to the bank too!) , playing a game with Stevenage at the moment and going great guns, promoted back into the football league after the 1st season, signed Colin Murray & Eoin Powerdly from Kildare and they appear to be superstars in the making
I'm pretty sure I read about him on here, he wouldn't sign at the start of the season so I had to wait until the January window, his stats aren't all that hot but he plays brilliantly
Murray at centre half, an Irish boy named Danny Earls at left full and Powderly on the left wing is where all of my best play comes from, also signed 2 boys from Northern Irish teams.....Robbie Crawford & Stephen Dooley...both making big leaps...when starting with a lower league side the Ireland is the place to shop!
Zavon Hines from West Ham (or is that Fulham? can't remember) did wonders for me on loan at AFC Wimbledon for two consecutive promotions to the Football League. He was then released and I picked him up and he was quality in League Two and quite good in League One as well.
Could be worth checking him out
In the middle of a great game with Derry- won the double in my second year and got through 3 round in europe, only getting narrowly knowcked out by Torino in the 4th Qual Round. However, our internet has packed in this week and I've been outraged to find "Steam" won't allow me to use FM without- even working offline it is still demanding my activation code which is obv no good as it can't be activated without internet access.
If you install the game from the disc and copy across your saved game and play it that way you can avoid needing the internet.
Got knocked out in 4th Qual Round with Galway United, 4-1 on aggregate against Spartak Moscow. Had beaten Floriania (Malta), TNS (Wales) and Genclerbirligi (Turkey) up to that.
In my current game, I've won the World Cup (4-3 on pens against Spain) and Copa America (3-2 in extra time against Brazil) with Argentina befpre switching to River Plate and winning three domestic titles there.
Won the league with Galway Utd twice in 5 years.Made the big move across the water to Southend:p and took them into the playoffs in The Championship but lost in the semi final to Charlton..New season starting now and its promotion or bust.I want to manage Ireland one day.Does anyone know how much experience you need?It goes by your reputation doesnt it?Mine is ok but you probably need a very good one to get a national side???
I have often felt like doing over results with Waterford United. The actual Waterford United.Quote:
Ended up just ejecting the CD from the computer, going to the garage and going to town smashing on it with my dad's hammer, tears streaming from my face, screaming obscenaties while I did it.
Yes,i noticed he got it after Stan quit.
Managing a Championship side is hard.Teams change their formation midway through a match ALOT.So now i started doing the same.so hard to find a good f*cking 20 goal a season man,ive 2 strikers with "finishing" of 17 and they are both SH*TE:(My training for them is set at "intensive" for shooting,is that too much??)
Iain Hume, if you got the money.
Constantly bangs them in.
Signed him halfway through my 3rd season with Leeds, he got 9 in 14 and 24 overall for the season.
I might cry. Every time I enter my reactivation key is says: "We were unable to process your unlock request."
My transfer budget in my first year at Derry was something like £14,000. I had just been given a budget of £1.2M at the start of my 3rd season and I'm worried I'll never see my Derry game again :(
I feel your pain man.Similar thing happened to me playing Championship Manager. Was cruising to the league title with Galway Utd.I saved it needing only 2 more wins to clinch the title. The F**king thing wouldnt load again saying some sh*te like "corrupted data" etc.I didnt cry,i just had something in my eye;).
Brazilian Striker called Josimar, brilliant player. Won player of the year 2 years running and had scored 62 in 81.
If your down in the Blue Square North/South, look for Serge Dim Etong, he got a good few goals for my team, free transfer of course :)
When I was younger I had a bit of a temper! Was playing cm 00/01. Lost the league on the last of the season, conceding a last minute goal. I was p1ssed of to say the least. Our old computer was fairly durable, so I gave it a number of smacks, and I may also have spat on the screen:o I looked out the window, and who was standing there but my mum:eek::D
Any excuse to post this:
