Funnily enough, I was chatting to a friend of mine last night. He's a football fan, would never support Cork City, he's not a begrudger, just not a supporter. I was on about the new club last night and he seemed genuinely interested.
Something fan owned will ring a bell with a lot of football fans - goodwill should be fairly high - could add to the gates this season at least.
WHile I don't disagree. It'f be foolish to bank on any goodwill at the start. NO doubt there are people tired of the whole thing too
More in the world of Cork City:
It appears that last night www.ccfcforum.com was hacked.
TOMMY'S REVENGE!
With all due respect to the players not attached to clubs, if they were good enough, clubs would have signed them by now. Maybe the reason they haven't been signed is down to clubs' budgets/players' wage demands, but if they were good enough, surely a deal would be hammered out.
So no, I don't expect you to be just one season in the First Division
back online now!
I think he's talking about the local Cork player pool, many of which would rather stay in Cork than play for a pittance in Galway, Longford or Dublin
In fairness, Cork's A teamand U21 teams have always been strong. I've no doubt's they're better placed than most to recover
Another website replies to the same person who hacked the Cork forums. :p
I have to say I find your post rather strange. You post on something that judging by your post you have no knowledge of. By all means have a rant but at least try & make some sense.
Are you saying Cork people are liars, insane or what. Thankfully not all Cork people are like Tom Coughlan.
A very decent summation of this sorry affair bu Daniel McDonnell in the Indo today.
