For the first time in years I had to take anti-biotics, which oddly conflicts with my main payday - working in a company that has a department producing pro-biotics!
Worse, yesterday morning I took the final tablet, happily, then remembered I was told not to take on an empty stomach! How I got to work I'll never know, my head and stomach were swimming and I was fighting throwing up (so as not to lose the last tablet). Completely ruined a big Chinese lunch they'd laid on in the office!
I don't know how up on Seinfeld you guys are but recently I took on a job with a Govt dept to do some data analysis and help thme out with a new thing they are doing.
Anyway, throughout the initial meeting where they discussed my role in-depth but almost entirely in business speak and as a result I'm not 100% sure what to do. So I have been going onm my merry way as if all is well.
This afternoon the scene has taken a turn where I have to develop 4 questions that Advanced users of a particular process may ask? WTF!
Pure Costanza when at the Yankees and Mr Wilhelm giveds him a job to do while he thinks George is listening to him in the toilet cublicle.
I think I just cottoned onto "backtowalsall's" name. Duh.
Ireland-only programmes on RTÉ Player had been working fine for me with Hola (on Chrome) up until the last few days. Anyone know if something has changed or know of another means of freely and legally viewing RTÉ from England?

She is so hot.
I got my Canadian visa today.
I traveled 500kms to visit the dentist, and visit herself and do some work, and arrive to find he's in Greece! Also the 2 people I was supposed to meet are at their dachas until tomorrow and herself is out at her parents. I'd like to say I'm disappointed - but I'm sitting in my shorts on the couch deciding between going to watch the New Terminator or staying on the couch and having a sports marathon (TdeF, Wimbledon, Wexford-Cork, Jamie Conlan). I wouldn't mind, but I arrived at 8am this morning and got all washed and shaved for a busy day. Oh well.

Anyone ever hear what George Best said about Pele?
This comment got 258 thanks on a Boards.ie thread

I thought that poor kid Walsh who lost his battle with cancer got away with some pretty idiotic attitudes towards suicide/depression just before he passed away.
I thought the same thing. I never had the balls to say it though.
Fox News host can't stand Rory McIlroy because he is quote a "leprechaun".

Both unsurprising because this isn't the first time nor will it be the last time a Fox News host makes a racist remark about Irish people, and surprising because of the amount of prominent Irish-Americans who work for Fox News (Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly, Megyn Kelly, Neil Cavuto).
"Fox News host in saying something racist" shocker.
Irish-American on his mother's side. Surprisingly, there are a lot of people with Irish surnames and Irish heritage on that network.

Moron stands by her moronic derogatory remark because Rory was mean to his ex-girlfriend and some of my best friends are "leprechauns" so there na na na na na na.
I wonder if the moron would call an Italian a "greaseball", a Mexican a "jumping bean" or a British person a "limey" and stand by it. No, she wouldn't.

Some more instances of anti-Irish rhetoric on Fox News.
TBH I am more offended by how unfunny it all is, and sterile. Jeez if you are going to crack a joke, at least make it funny.
A mutt like that shouldn't be throwing stones. She looks like Michael Stipe with a wig.
Aw, you so nearly managed to hang onto the moral highground for a few minutes.
Anyone know any good nightclubs or pubs in Liverpool?
So, today I learned that the Easter island heads are actually full bodies buried neck deep.
Every day's a school day. I feel quite stupid for not ever having considered the possibility.
Somewhere in Iceland an Irishman shudders. He doesn't know why.

Just booked my tickets to this: www.icelandairwaves.is
Really looking forward to this and of course the apparently beautiful country with incredible football.
Another Costanza meeting another bullplop answer. SUCCESS!
Since I got back home I've been to Inchicore on Friday, Croker yesterday and got back to Maynooth tonight. Really enjoying this time at home, oh, and Hill of Tara and Trim Castle Saturday. Braveheart festival was fun, but surprised almost nobody heard of it!
for some reason it surprised me just how good the film Casablanca is
And of course you'll be there again on Saturday? :)
My dad is as huge a Bogart fan as they come and for years "All Through The Night" was easily one of my favourite films. Still is to some extent. But for some reason despite seeing so much of his stuff I never actually sat through "Casablanca" in its totality until last year. But my God it is spectacular.
The script, the acting. It's a prime example of "They don't make them like athat anymore". Stunning.

Also, getting that thanks from ya Gustavo was a nice fillip to the morning. Welcome back.
Anyone else download Windows 10 - first impressions?
Considering taking the plunge myself, but the only thing worrying me is a supposed issue with privacy settings. In a nutshell, Microsoft are keeping track of all user data and privacy settings for use with upgrades.
All of that stuff is quite irritating, more in that such little effort is taken to inform the user. It can all be all be turned off without too much bother, but you have to be told what to look for, some of it is buried in sub-menus of sub-menus of sub-menus. The "WiFi Sense" stuff is what annoys me more (five menus deep from the desktop), but I toggled all that stuff to "Off" the moment I booted up the OS proper.
As for impressions, its fine. I skipped 8 entirely, so the apps take a bit of getting used to, but the interface isn't that far removed from 7. Once I got Chrome and Office going, I was happy with it. I have had this strange glitch where the task manager tells me 100% of the CPU is being used, when it really isn't (or else its the smoothest running 100% ever) but that's about it.
Tried to put in the codes on sky to get BBC Wales for the eggball game on Saturday...can get every bloody BBC channel under the sun EXCEPT for BBC One Wales. Tis quite annoying.
Oh, it's one of those films that has everything. Up there on my list of all-time favourites. There aren't many who could hold a candle to Bogart, and Ingrid Bergman was simply luminous. Always felt sorry for Peter Lorre (Hnk! Hnk!) You should see him in M to really appreciate how brilliant an actor he was.
Welcome back.
