What are you talking about Noely, has Stan joined the voices inside your head?
I have just managed to get Manson out of my crust now this looper Stan won't go away! The link to Stan and the Germans

The distance from the pitch wasn't the reason for the crap atmosphere against Wales, it was two crap teams with one playing particularly craply - us. We didn't touch the ball for about 25 mins in the second half. Hardly what'd induce a cauldron of noise.
"They said the pitch was too far away from the supporters..."
Yes, yes it is.
"They said the pitch was too far away from the supporters..."
A bit like the Gottlieb Daimler Stadium in Stuttgart then, with its big running track round it.
I think the funny bit was that Stan was convinced that this was coming from very high up, very very high up and he wasn't naming names, (probably couldn't remember anyway). The article goes on to name the names and mention that they are very very low down the ladder, the ticket tout and the ex cop.
Ahhh shut up Stan....I hate you so so much
Its like watching The Office, you just cringe every time he is on the tv.
Good to see he has so little to worry him. Go Stan Go!
Im sure the lads will be extra motivated now.
I know all managers come out with crap from time to time but Staunton using this as motivation is ridiculous - are they not motivation to represent their country at home to a big Football nation?
he says he overheard them saying this...can he speak german?...fair play to him..a man of many talents....football management is not one of them
Whats all this about the "Booing of Stan" ? is this true? To any extent? Did Stan comment on it?
Or is this just tabloid ****e
He was the answer to the half time quiz, which elicited a decent round of booing.
thats bad form. Ok let them know after the match or something but to just boo a guy who has 100+ caps for Ireland. Wrong. I want him out ASAP but I would never boo the man. Disgraceful
Not bad form at all. People have very little opportunity to get across their view that they do not believe he should be the manager. When you have Delaney coming out saying that we stayed beyond for 20 mins in Prague as support of Stan, you really have to make your point clear with this crowd.
Would agree with an ceannaire-i desperately want him out but would not boo him. he accepted a job that should never have been offered to him. its not his fault he was still reading ann and barry at the age of 25 but they are not the credentials of a manager.
Did he really say this?? I hadn't heard that, what a lier. Must have been getting tips from Alister Campbell book of spin.
As for booing on Sat, it wasn't that bad, I've heard worse. I think it's being blown out of proportion a bit by the media, same with the chanting after Doyle/Long sub.
can we get someone to mention john delaney on the speakers and then everyone boo in unison?
So are we going to do anything? IS there anyone who has any decent contacts in the papers that could be contacted as to let people know of fans unrest and unhappines. Its killing me watching my hair fall out and seeing a good generation of young players go by, my 20s pass me by and gone in the constant hope of qualifying for a tournament. Enough is enough something needs to be done. This crap of building process, we have been doing that since kerr, its a load of scheisser, the only way to build for the future and gain experience is by qualifying for a tournament, a young fella will gain invaluable experience there, not playing a meaningless friendly and winning 2 - 0 and then playing in an away game and losing 5 - 2 or 1 -0 or whatever. So come on lads get the finger out.
See, I've never understood the arguement that he's not at fault, because he doesn't know how to manage.Quote:

A lot of posters here have said that if they were offered the Irish job, of course they'd take it.
Well, I wouldn't. The reason I wouldn't is because I know that I don't know enough about management to be a good manager, and the national place is not the place to start learning. If and when the results took a turn for the worse, it would be my fault as much as anybody else, because I took the job knowing this would happen, due to my lack of ability.
To blame Delaney for hiring his is correct also, but Stan made the decision to take the job, he wasn't forced, and he took it in the knowledge that he had never managed before in his life. He can be held responsible for doing that.
As for booing him, I think booing is an acceptable form of criticism.
hard call
i felt bad, but at the same time i felt relieved. I didn't do it myself, but at the same time I realised that we as fans have to get our point across. That match meant nothing. Germany C team, who didnt care and were happy just to turn up.
have stan or FAI aknowledged there was booing in public?
People should be ashamed of booing stan. Typical dubs, wouldnt support their team.
That is the most ignorant comment I have seen in a long time. How the hell do you know it was Dubs. If you are a wind up merchant, do you not have better things to be doing.
You are all wrong. Delaney has stated Stan was being "coohed" by the crowd which is Flemish for 4/6/8 year plan and we are all behind you.
What a stupid and ignorant comment. Im not a Dub but if i were there i would have booed as loud as anyone. I dont see why we have to put up with a guy on a learning experience for 4 years when he is obviously not cut out fr the job at all. Those that booed were 100% perfectly entitled toQuote:

I see John Delaney always sends the FAI President out to the pitch for the formal duties because he knows he'd get a right rollicking from the fans. The person who devised the quiz didn't have the same sense.
As for the PA man and his "really really big round of applause" which he repeated three times for Mick Leech and his reference to "West Germany"!! WHat a clown but it gave us a laugh, especially the Germans around me.
Same crap songs, same unloyal fans, same dubs, same problem!
I'm from Limerick and I was at the game sat, as I have been for the past 10 years and although I've never taken part in any booing at games, I understand why people would do this.
Especially after Delaney is spinning that fans are behind Stan when clearly the majority are not. I don't think anyone booed the team, as most people realise their honesty of effort
I was saying Boo-urns :(
Oh you've really set yourself up here with that moronic sweeping statement. I'm going to put you in your place now...I was at the game and was sitting beside a Derry supporter(wearing Derry jersey with Ireland scarf). He was one of those who booed. I told him to get a grip because like you i feel it's uncalled for. By the way I'm a Dub. I'd imagine those who booed were a mish mash of most counties.

what a tool!
