surprised he did'nt go to Shels.
He was quite clear that he didn't want to be part of our B team.
That's a bit of a strange one. He showed decent potential at Dundalk the few times he was in the 1st team and certainly was one of the better U19s. Id imagine that Fenn would be good developing young players and with Longford promotion candidates it wouldnt have done his confidence any harm compared to an inconsistant Galway side. He had only just signed in December and Longford is a lot closer to home than Galway. Delusions of granduer?
Oh I meant that that the issue must be with the player rather than the club as this was a good opportunity for the lad. Like he was being impetulant if he wanted out. I'm intrigued (and nosey) now as to what he has done to potentially end his footballing career!?
Bray sign defender Kilian Cantwell formerly of Limerick and Finn Harps and Luka Lovic a midfielder formerly of UCD.
CHVEDUKAS SIGNS https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/72x72/270d.png Waterford FC is delighted to announce the signing of Lithuanian international Karolis Chvedukas. The 27-year-old joins the club after spending the 2018 season with Dundalk. https://www.waterfordfc.ie/chvedukas-signs-waterford-fc-sign-karolis-chvedukas/ … #WaterfordFC2019
Make sure he looks after that ankle Waterford!!
Kevin O'Connor returns to Cork City
Hah, hes been signed as a midfielder. At last thats what Caufield is saying. We actually have a lot of depth at left back now assuming Kev eventually takes over the position from Griffin. Young Ronan Hurley looks like a real prospect.

Seems Harps have loaned John Kavanagh back from Cork, played against Athlone today.
Delighted with that bit of news. Kavanagh is a top class player. Really surprised Caulfield let him back out on loan, but I suppose he'd prefer to be playing first choice for Harps rather than on the bench at Cork.
So it now appears Carlton is still with LTFC and is currently undergoing rehab for an injury. Strange the club would sign an injured player. Was lots of rumours around town that he wasn't going to be with us this season. Something strange clearly went on but Fenn referenced him in an interview recently for the first time and he's got a squad number. Hopefully he lives up to the hype.
Liam Nash in from Gillingham. 1 year deal. Striker, scored a few in pre season in games in Kerry while on trial and those who saw him play were very positive about him but his track record isn't the best. We'll see.
Ronan Coughlan released. John Kav confirmed to Harps on loan til the summer.
Kavanagh back on loan to Harps been confirmed this evening by the club.
Another signing made to be announced before Bohs game. Or, knowing Ollie, could well just end up on the team sheet without telling anyone..
There is little doubt Cork would benefit significantly from a striker with pace and mobility - is Nash supposed to have those qualities?
It must be difficult to understand JC's approach to player recruitment - last season he signed a load of full backs, this season he is turfing out players with only recently signed contracts. Presumably Ronan Coughlan, like others before him this close season, would have had to get some type of settlement of his contract
Coughlan was moved on to pay for Nash. Coughlan clearly wasn't going to work out so it was the right call I think. It didn't work out. I'm sure he got something but I doubt it was near full value of contract or moving him on wouldnt have made sense.
Nash is being signed for pace and finishing, apparently. Whether it works out like that? Who knows. He doesn't have enough of a track record to be overly excited. Did well enough in pre season but the quality of opposition wasn't high enough to really judge.
It gives a different option anyway which was needed. Fingers crossed.
Shamrock Rovers confirm signing of striker Orhan Vojic and goalkeeper Leon Phols

Can anyone explain what Stephen Bradley might mean by this observation about Vojic?

A lot of our attackers are good footballers and come off and play whereas Orhan thinks about the other side of the attacking game so it’s a good mix for us to have
Well Dan Carr drops deep to get the ball does skiil and gets by players from what ive seen of Vojic he stays higher up the pitch and makes runs behind the defence,
Blues confirmed two strikers on loan - Aaron Drinan back from Ipswich and Scott Twine from Swindon
Sligo have signed Ronan Coughlan from Cork.
They've also announced they'll now not be signing the random Nigerian buck they had unveiled a few weeks ago due to international clearance issues.
Aaron Barry on loan to Bohs until the summer. Looks like we're bringing in another striker, possibly on loan from the UK today. I think it might be a younger player though so low expectations.
Derry City confirm signing of Michael McCrudden from Institute.........
https://www.derrycityfc.net/2019/02/...-move-to-city/
Derry City can confirm that Michael McCrudden has joined the club from Institute FC.
The player had agreed to join the club during the summer, having signed a pre-contract agreement in recent weeks. However following discussions between the two clubs, an agreement has been reached to allow Michael to move to the Candystripes immediately.
The boards at both clubs would like to acknowledge that this has been a complicated and protracted process.
Michael will now join up with Derry City and will be available for the 2019 SSE Airtricity Premier Division campaign
Some more competition for full back positions

Dundalk FC are delighted to announce the signing of Cameron Dummigan from Oldham Athletic on a long-term contract.
The full-back, who can play on both the right and left side, today completed a medical at Oriel Park and will immediately join the first-team squad, pending international clearance.

Waterford also signed last week Hugo Keto a Finnish underage international goalkeeper on loan from Brighton.
Harps sign Sean Boyd on loan from Shamrock Rovers.
He has been chronically unlucky with injuries the last two years. A fantastic kid needs game time. If he stays fit (please God for him) he will score goals for you.

Limerick not expecting to be busy in the transfer market. Hopefully they can get proper training facilities sorted out.
