Some observations from my viewing.

Lots of toilet rolls on the pitch ( probably the " grease proof " versions )

Steve Heighway doing almost Rory Delap throw-ins.

Decent amount of fans on top of the roof of the stand.

A bit of bite in the game.

It would be nice to have a Giles and Brady now or even one of them.

I know that QPR had a good team back in those days but perhaps Don Givens was a bit unlucky not to get a chance with one of the bigger clubs !

Johnny Giles is quite small.

30 years today since beating Northern Ireland 4-0, with Roy Keane scoring his first goal for Ireland

40 years today since Paul McGrath and Alan Campbell made their debuts for Ireland, in a 2-1 loss to Italy

Some great names from the past there ~ Irish and Italian ~ Some of the Italians from the 1982 World Cup win ~ Paolo Rossi died 4 years ago at only 64 years old ~ I thought it was only last year or the year before ~ Time is flying.
