That is for sure, very young, maybe too young some of them lads.
I hope it does not effect their confidence, but as u said some of them have 4 or 5 years in them!!

Yes very good Utd team backboned by the Mervue U-17 National winning side of 2003. The difference was that Celtic could not cope with the loss of Niall O'Hara, Shane Hynes, Isoeph O'Reilly, Gary Price, Paul Curry, John Maughan aswell as Ronan O'Boyle & Sean McHale (US), but could a big club like Galway Utd be without 6 first choice U-21 players. I suppose you could take them form your U-16, U-17 & U-18 squads like a small club as Celtic or does a big club like Utd have these teams. Surely you have teams at all the age groups.
Not looking good for Snugboro or Crossmolina they look like they will face the drop.
Glenhest look like pulling it out of the fire.
And two horse race at the top between Westport and Ballina the rest are just going through the motions.
Dreaming of Connaught Cup and F.A.I. Cup
The best hopes Castlebar Celtic have and thats winning the Mayo Cup.
celtic aren't out of it yet even though it is a bit of a tall order. if you think about the quality in the under 21 squad that celtic have lost out on 4 most of the season. they will prob b playing in the connaught cup and fai cup so don't b thinkin dat celtic wont do well reno!!!!
have to agree with you Celtic have loss out due to there u-21 players have given the commitment to play in the Eircom league.
But as a big club choices have to be made, Its hard to fight on two fronts.
As for the external Comp, I have no doubt Celtic will go out to win both.
Though I here Westport will have a few new faces in the new year. the old guard will have returned from far ashores
Any results from matches last nite?
Castlebar Celtic beat Conn Rangers 5-1 and will now play Ballyheane at home in the Aib Cup Semi-Finals
Erris Utd beat Glenhest Rovers 2-1 in the Super League
this partnership you call it!!
I take you and your galway cronies are compensating these junior clubs for the cost and time these clubs have given to these kids to turn them into the players they are. pick the fruit can only happen if the clubs allow it.
or is when ya cronies get tied of there kids to they sent them back, burnt out
When you say partnership the league responsibilities is to foster and promote junior football.any other acts outside this is not serving the clubs.
while the galway league rent there grounds they dont need to get into bed with them.
Tell me when did ya galway cronies go around and give coaching to these so call clubs you continue to pick the fruit from.
It was not long ago, that ya galway croinies couldn't run youth teams.
they had to taken under the control of S.DEVON.
Ballyheane v Crossmolina draw
Castlebar Celtic v Glenhest Rovers home
Erris Utd. v Manulla draw
Snugboro Utd. v Claremorris away
Westport Utd. v Ballina Town home
Was at the Westport United Ballina match last night and think it was one of the most exciting games I've ever seen. Five goals, a penalty, a sending off, good crowd and a hell of a lot of controversy! The step-up between the quality of the football between the top two teams in the county and the rest is significant enough at this stage. Westport worked extremely hard and Desie O Malley scored an early penalty and a breath-taking second half goal to boot. Got the ball with his back to the goal, swivelled and cracked a half-volley into the top corner. Unreal. Thought Colin Navin was very good too, fast and combative on the wing. Brian Fahy broke down a lot of Ballina play when he came on, Dave Horkan had a quiet game by his high standard but still won everything in the air and scored the winner. The Westport keeper was outstanding too. Have to feel slightly sorry for Ballina though; they played well and were denied a certain penalty minutes before Westport scored. They have real pace in the team too. makes for a really interesting finale to the season now though with the top two level on points.
I wish I could agree with you but its down to Utd & Town for the title. I taught Celtic had handed the title to town after defeating Utd, but it now looks that the Port will be champs once again, with Celtic doing them a favour in Ballina (or could they send down a under stenght team to repay Utd for not turning up for an end of season game against Balla to hand them the title in 1978 time will tell). Well done the Celtic's U-12 community games team that defending their All-Ireland crown in great style. The conveyor belt keeps rolling on.
You know me to well. I suppose we are doing the same. We can't wait till the Boro & Town start bringing on their youths so that we can cherry pick like Utd. As for your partnership with the GDL, I taught that you were merely tenants who could not afford their own ground. Big club my ***

With kids taken off other clubs being used as the rollers.
