I see in the Town notes that they described the challenge on Paul Scully as "nothing challenge", well it was a very late challenge from the side, so it wasn't a nothing challenge but there was no intent.Quote:

it was a foul but it was definitely not the tackle that caused the injury nor was there any intent. that said it was a horrible injury and everyone at clonmel celtic wishes paul scully a speedy recovery.Quote:

tsdl website says 2-1 to celtic. fair play to them. hope they can push on from this and become a real force next year in the prem.
it was great for the club to finally win sonething. all in all i think it was a real smash and grab as town totally dominated the game. that said it was great for cetic to just get the win.
Well done to Celtic, great win. Ye just wanted it more. Must say Town took the defeat really well. They had a blatant pen turned away, the ref actually put the whistle to his mouth and took it away. He was awful, and nearly ruined the game.Quote:

on the penalty decision i think it hit him on the legs and bounced up onto his hand i feel it would have been hard on the player. equally if i were a town fan i would have ben disppointed with the celtic pen as it was pretty soft.
well done to st michaels on winning the joe delaey youh cup.they beat us 2-1 in the final. to say the least we were gutted really thought we would win it this year but another chance gone. roll on next year, well done again.

They are fantastic facilities that Nenagh AFC have best ive seen anywhere in Tipp. Celtic played well in the first half but died a little in the second we had only played 1 game in about 6 weeks so there was plenty of rust there but ye pushed us close and were unlucky our keeper made a couple of good saves.Quote:

christopher higgins and benny ryan from cahir are the two names mentioned to be signing for saints,will need 1 or 2 more along with them
ya true benny and higgins would be 2 superb signings. another 2 players of similar quality and saints would be more than a match for town next season

Heard last night that Martin Quinlivan is the new manager of Town. Jamie O'Flaherty is his assistant. This is great news. Hopefully he can do as well as he did in 1994 when he managed Town to win the FAI.Quote:

So lads any big moves going to go on this summer? Michaels and Villa will have to strenghten in a few areas to compete with town again this year or will we have a new side to challenge town this season? Good to hear Cashel town have gone back training this week with a bit of luck they might establish themselves in the premier and eventually be challenging to win it.
i hear villa are back training too (minus a few players however). you can never tell what they will be like. i can see a big season from the saints, apparently they are chasing big time in limerick, also heard from 1 of their players that barry ryan will be pre season training in tipperary. town will again be the team to beat, interesting to see wat celtic will do. borris and cahir for the drop
Town are going to be down a lot of last years panel. Rory Kiely and David McGrath gone to Cork City. Michael Coady gone to Carrick. Robbie Costigan will be committed to Tipp Football. Not a great start for new manager. These players will be hard to replaceQuote:
