We were 1-0 up at half time but newmarket came out second half and tore into us. They were way better than us in 2nd half and fully deserved the win

Hard to see anybody stopping Newmarket doing the double now after winning yesterday...
They look certs for the league but you never know in the cup especially with Newmarket's busy schedule, and the likes of Bridge utd have given them problems in the past.
Tough enough defeat for Newmarket in MJC the weekend what happened there? They'd a great chance this year to go all the way.... Unlucky!
From what I heard they were on top till they let in soft goal just before ht.then 2nd half Newmarket player sent off and chasing game from then on..
That is a fairly handy Newmarket side , just goes to show how difficult it will be for a Clare team to win it .
optimism was high in the NOF camp, judging by a quote prior to the game, saying they were the best squad in the country.
pity to go so close for second year in a row.
they probably need a few more players from other clubs if they want to make the big push thru for next year.
must have been misprinted i reckon. in the county they are the most consistant and going for an impressive 4 in a row in the cup.
best of luck to them for the remainder of seaon
Heard today that hibs joining clare league as well....anyone else heard this
A player. Doubt it myself but was curious
Alot of talk around the town saying they should follow suit and join but simply only talk as far as I know. Anyone know where the clare cup semi finals are played? Is it doora or whoever gets home in the draw?
Its on in doora. Has been for last few years. One saturday, 1 sunday.
Double header on Sunday would be a good idea, get a bigger crowd out, a lot would stay for the two matches
Have they got the dates wrong? 8th and 9th according to the CDSL on Facebook... that's a Friday and Sat
NOF looking good for the future , congrats to their U 17 & 19 - if they can get these young lads through to the senior team maybe they wont need to scavenge from other clubs - and given the "success" of the team maybe the management side of things in NOF needs to be re-assessed in order to make the step up to win a national cup ?
Not sure how you can justify that comment , they look odds on to win the league , maybe go unbeaten , i would fancy them for the cup and made it to quarter final in Munster junior cup , not a bad 1st season in charge. Maybe teams like Avenue and Ennis Town haven't been at their best but that's their problem.
You sound bitter planners, its not scavenging when the players want to go to the most eligible club.. And they got to the semi in Munster.. Hope they go all the way in the future
c'mon now players wanting to go to the most eligible club  every club these days needs to able to approach players and try and get them to sign ... younglawd you get no medals for getting to semi finals and it would have been great for Newmarket / clare football if they had won it out .. Hopefully the rumours about crusher stepping down at end of season are not true.
I was only correcting ridercup's previous comment. Obviously semi means nothing just as much as second place that's why I hope they go all the way
why would he be stepping down after 1 season and gettign the domestic double?
what do ye make of avenues new management for next season?
they could do with a few players after losing 5 of their main ones this season
Who is avenues new management team..couldn't keep current manager there. Heart is in right place but sent off too many times.
keith mac and tommy leahy
I assume Russell has moved on , he must be running on crutches now , he’s been around a long long long time -
I wont correct you younglawd , old git has put you back in your box :)
Well done to Rineanna , great achievement to get back up there within 4 seasons , good management goes along way - others should take notice !
Hopefully D1 will go well , good to see that promotion is the most moral and gratifying way to play in the league you should be in where as other teams seem to land there automatically !!!!!
planners
Congrats on your old team winning the league and well deserved , Heard the team were in the sports bar last night to toast the victory with your near neighbours Newmarket, they are slowly working there way back to the Premier league were they belong :D agree on the good management side ( ex Newtown Man of course) but have to admit the standard of players helped as well lot of lads should be kicking ball at a higher level no disrespect to rineanna..Division 1 should be intresting especially if Shannon town land there !!!!
it will be an interesting local derby if rineanna are to match up against the newcomers to the league.
Think local derbys and generating interest in local soccer will only benefit the clare league. Congrats to the lads. Have a feeling that planners will be busy next season with that big book of excuses he has
Barry ryan signing for Avenue. .Massive for the club
Yes but look at de experience he will bring and is playing football for eire og so will be fit for new season...shay given 39 and still playing at the top flight
Heard today its confirmed ST moving into Clare League. Is there schoolboys also moving?
The whole club are moving. Straight into this summers league by all accounts
