I'll just have to cry myself to sleep. And let me just state again, I know, as most LOI fans do I'm sure, that the players in the LOI are here because they didn't/couldn't make it in England. I know that they are not as good as the players in the International squad. We don't live in some sort of bubble you know. I watch some English football, some champions league, and yes, Irish internationals on TV. None of this has any bearing on which team I support. I take the old fashioned view. Proper supporters support their local team. I genuinely don't understand someone living in Dublin, Cork, Mayo or Derry who can refer to Man U, Liverpool, or Celtic as "we" and "us" with a straight face. When that attitude turns to hostility against local teams and their supporters then I get rightly peed off. Old ground, old debate, and off topic, I know. But there you go. And one last question. Do people not support the League of Ireland because it's crap, or is the league of Ireland crap because people don't support it ? See the connection ?
