pearce keeper made 4 very good saves in that game against glen celtic . great job from him today between the sticks well done
Took in the Glen v Pearse game aswell. Pearse centre halfs were excellent all 3 who played. John C and Kristen up front are a real force some excellent movement, skills and pace.
Pearse were dogged out and worked very hard for the draw and deserved it too. Draw probably a fair result.

Interested to know too - they played 3 (from what I can see) Mossie games but last weeks AOH v Carrigtwohill and now this week v Springfield were off - anyone know??? It'd be a shame to have Prem A a 7 team league. Bad enough that two strong AUL teams (Hibs & D. Hall) are gone from Prem A.
hopefully the aul can see that clubs are struggling to field teams anybody any rough idea on how many teams pulled out since last season in all divisions
is it not time just to join up the prem and prem a leagues ??? with clubs dropping like flies makes more sense now
By my rough calculations:
5 teams gone from last year:
Douglas Hall
Hibernians
Richmond B
Lakewood Athletic B
Ballinhassig B
6 new teams in AUL:
Cloughduv
Waterloo C
Temple United
Grattan United B
Glen Celtic C
Killumney United B
So if Castleview are gone the total numbers in the league stay the same but worrying that 2 or 3 clubs at a high division gone. Well done to Glen C., Waterloo & Bosco's for having 3 teams...
Castleview aren't gone. Using numbers to supplement the Juniors but guys promising to turn up and not I believe. Have Lakewood had a few games called off in successive weeks? Prem A has to be a buffer from first I think. Something to do with refs fee and top division having only one division below it or something like that. It's the old issue - teams winning through the divisions and suffering when faced with better opponents. Prem A could have you facing strong sides ready for Prem and sides who just left Prem. We faced the likes of Kilumney Glen Kilreen etc in recent years. Hard going believe me!!
Lads, it's being awhile! Castleview Juniors 100 percent not gone. Just to clarify, last week there was a panel of 16 togged off ready to play when Carrigaline rang to give us a walk over. This week due to work, injuries & suspensions (yes unbelievably early in the season) we knew we would struggle. Throw into this a change of management and poor communication which resulted in this weeks game being off. House in order now again for next week.
I heard from a very good Castleview source earlier tonight that the juniors are gone.
[QUOTE=Innishvilla;1779053]Great to hear it - Prem A needs the teams and strong teams at that.[/QUOTE any idea of when mick and his staff start with puting there squad together for the season.
I know a few players were already in contact with him so I presume soon I'm sure pat Keane and brendan are already looking at players..im sure mickey will have his favourites like every manager..He likes to play negative football so don't be to judgemental
Correct me if I'm wrong 1for but you were on this forum slating the way he played on numerous occasions are you looking to get a job carrying the footballs like the other fellas involved with him...
