We beat Bluebell 1-0 last night in the Leinster Senior Cup last night,Stephen Gray with the goal
Harps won 3-1 against Cockhill Celtic
Goals from Stephen McLaughlin, Johnny Lafferty and Davitt Walsh.
That's 2 wins and 2 draws thus far in pre-season.
Next up was due to be Galway United in Terryland Park on Saturday at 5pm but that looks doomed as Terryland is not available 2 nights running for Galwa so the game looks likely to be switched to Finn Park on Sunday.
In the LSC last night it was Ballymun United 0-2 Dundalk.
Derry City 3-Derry City 0
Not even joking, 1 of our friendlies was cancelled so Derry City stepped up to play Derry City hahaha
So good they paid them twice.
Derry City 5-0 UU Magee
Monaghan United 0-2 Dundalk FC
Waterford United playing Fingal in Cahir tomorrow afternoon, 3pm, interesting tie, methinks!
Galways starting team not as bad as i taut it would be, taut them and Bray would be the whipping boys this year but not too sure now....
taut means tight.
I think you mean thought.
We played very well, Defence is so organised this year, Burnsey and Breen are playing very well together. Gaynor is doing really well on the wing and is goign to score a bucket load of goals this year. Melligan had a brilliant game. Monaghan picked up foru injuries, 3 looked very bad, Bermingham went off holding his thigh so coudl eb out for quite a while. That pitch is awful as ever. Never seen the ball bobble so much, players couldnt even dribble the ball forward.
Hopefully Drogheda will be right down there!!!!!
Dundalk are showing a lot of potential in pre-season - in 7 games, won 6 drew 1, with five clean sheets, 10 goals scored and 2 conceeded.
Although pre-season stats and form mean very little, the style of play is pleasing on the eye and the defense looks very solid. With Faz to be added to the attack, new striker Sam Malsom only signed yesterday, and JJ Melligan only featuring for part of 2 of the games there is still a lot more to come.
I can't wait for Bray next week and Drogheda the following week at Oriel
Waterford 3 - Fingal 1 - played in Cahir
^^^^^^^^^^
A good result for Waterford. We only drew with them 2 weeks ago although we should of hammered them, played them off the park.
Looks like Fingal may not be as good as some thought they would be.
