Yeah, Bonnie, take it to the "Things theworm doesn't give a **** about" thread!
Mmm, objectophilia, Bonnie... Personally, I prefer to receive other kinds of jobs to satisfy my needs.*
Never mind the begrudgers who don't understand the bond between a man and his building. Keep the rest of us posted on this very new and daring type of office romance!
*Mainly because it's 12 years since I got my last one... New career, obviously...:p
Good stuff outta ya.
However if like me you worked in the ugliest building known to man. and I mean the staff, Architecturally speaking it was very nice, you would appreciate the current office totty that little bit more.
Savage gash lad!
Roll on the Christmas party.
Thanks Gastric, Eminence Grise, Nigel and Bonnie - sorry I didn't reply sooner, the weekend passed in a haze, not a good one, and now, almost a week on, it's now in limbo. I know a couple of posters have met my Dad and one at least (Osarusan) would have spoken to him a few times at fights, he is a sports fanatic, real GAA man but played football/soccer, rugby and any other sport he could. We've a big meeting with the head doc today at 12, they've been pressing the line of - "you'll have some big decisions to make" bojjox that tears your heart out. I kind of smile that the last match we went to was in November when I was last home, up in Rathcoole, in freezing winds and watching a lad we look after (who my Dad thinks alot of) and just the craic we had before and after.
Thoughts are with you Spud.
Again so sorry to hear that Spud.
I am officially sick of Christmas music, but am slightly thankful I'm not in Ireland and sitting through the Jedward versions I assume are absolutely unavoidable.
Just stuck an accumulator on all 10 Premier League games this weekend. 1 euro would return a potential €41k.
Fingers crossed ;)
You can't escape it anywhere. I'm admittedly a bit of a grinch and don't really like Christmas music anyway, but they're now playing it at the gym where I can't escape it. Not only that, but its just today's crap artists covering old Christmas songs (or in some cases coming out with their own). I don't think any of them are Jedward (I guess I wouldn't know if I heard it anyway) but probably equally crap. I usually hear the same song three times by different artists and all terrible.
Reminds me of the Glee craze a few years ago, when the Top 40 would be on the radio in the background everywhere I went. You'd have #17, Don't Stop Believing, followed by #16, Don't Stop Believing (Glee Cover). Used to drive me nuts on long drives when I didn't have control of the radio

Status Quo announced to play Derry next June. Hells yes.

Winter y u heff to be so stressful..
Between work, Thesis, Paying for presents, rent and food, I'm just a tad stressed at the minute, this getting older lark isn't all its cracked up to be.
300 pages. Nice.
1000 thanks.
Also nice.
There's your first on the way to 2k.
I woke up late and my car was clamped. This has been a miserable Monday as a result. GRR!
After 4 years 9 months on the road commuting from Cork to Antwerp, encompassing over 325 flights at a total cost of approx €27,000 ( flights alone ) - today is the beginning of my final week abroad.
Some people don't like what our country has become - but on Thursday evening if soemone tells me that I'll never be able to leave it again - it wouldn't bother me a whole lot.
I see people on the flight to amsterdam every week - like a brotherhood of extreme commuters who put thier lives on hold to either further thier careers or simply put food on the table. I'll miss the craic a little but after all this time, not much.
The travel, the strain, the weekly goodbyes to the wife and kids are the real human stories of yet another manifestation of this recession that the world seems to ignore. For now, and hopefully, the foreseeable future that is in the past for myself.
Overall feeling is huge relief. Nothing else really. It will sink in, in a few weeks I think.
First exam in almost 3 years went about as badly as could be expected. And yet still not badly enough that I miss my sh*ty job even a little bit.
Well, I woke up to find that my neighbours dog had got into my bin last night outside the back door and there was frozen rubbish, and frozen remnants of food all over the place. Took a lot of boiling water, bleach and scrubbing to get most of it off.
I didn't even get a sorry.
It was a bitta both and on a public road. Difficult for me to get out of it without the pain of bringing DCC to court.
I've a mate who has waged a personal battle for the last year with a certain private clamping company and has been rather successful in his endeavour.
Is anybody else finding the site very very slow today?
It'll all kick off tomorrow.
UCD at home?! Ewww...
And then repeat for three more months.
GAWD! Will this week ever end?
restarted posting on p.ie after a two year hiatus. why the **** was I stupid enough to do that. can't even blame the drink, as I've none taken yet.
Gave that up long ago.
Bad move shanty.
